Youtube Embed

The YouTube Embed Block allows you to easily incorporate YouTube videos into your content. This block simplifies the process of embedding videos, enabling you to enhance your site with dynamic and engaging multimedia content.

💡 Note

No need for a YouTube account to get started. However, not all videos are available for embedding. The video owner must enable “Allow Embedding” in their video settings, and some might restrict where their videos can be viewed.

Keep in mind, embedding a video means YouTube and the video’s publisher may receive non-personal viewing data. For privacy details, especially regarding younger audiences, refer to YouTube’s policies.

How to embed a Youtube video

  • Find the video you want on YouTube.com and copy the URL from the browser bar.
  • Click the ‘+’ button in the editor and select ‘YouTube’, or simply type /youtube and press enter.

Once the block is added, paste the YouTube URL into the provided field and click the ‘Embed’ button to integrate the video into your site.

Playlist

You can embed a playlist URL, and the first video of the playlist will display in the embed box. Navigation for the playlist will appear in the top right corner.

Live streams

YouTube Live stream URLs are supported and can be embedded using the format youtube.com/live/videocode.

Unsupported URLs

Not all YouTube links are suitable for embedding. If you use a URL that can’t be embedded, the Block editor will provide two options: try a different URL or convert the current URL into a Text link.

Block toolbar
